By recommendation of the College Senate and approval of the President, the requirement to take the BSC 101 Foundations of Inquiry course as part of the Intellectual Foundations general education requirements is removed, effective with the fall 2012 semester.

What does this mean for you?

Students who have successfully completed BSC101 will have that course remain on their audit sheet as fulfilling the Foundations of Inquiry requirement.

Students who have not yet taken BSC101 have had a waiver placed on their audit in that location (Notated by BSC101EX) waiving this requirement. You will still need a minimum of 120 credits to graduate.

Students who have failed BSC 101 are encouraged to retake the course during summer or fall 2012. A few sections will be offered to give you this opportunity.

Students may still elect to take BSC101 as an All College Elective.
