At this moment I am at ECC and will be graduating in may. I've already recieved an acceptence letter and will be attending buff state in the fall.
I just wanted to know if I would be considered a new student or a transfer student? Also how do I find out when I am able to register?

You are a transfer student. You should find all new student information in your acceptance packet from Buffalo State. In the packet, you should have also been referred to our Accepted Student Website. Your advisor is going to be within the department you were accepted into. If you have questions about academic advising, please contact them. The registration schedule can be found online. New transfer students can begin registering for fall 2011 online on May 23.

Ok thank you!
I also have another question about the Tuition deposit. Would my Financial Aid cover this or do I pay out of pocket?

Welcome to Buffalo State! There is a mandatory New Student Orientation that you will need to attend. It will be held on Friday August 26, 2011. You can check out the Orientation website by clicking here. If you look at the tabs on the left hand side of the screen you will see two that refer to you; "Transfer Student Advisement" and "Fall 2011 Orientation for Transfer Students". Check both of those out. They have information regarding your advisement and Orientation program. Depending on your major, your department may have certain dates that you can make an appointment to be advised. Although you are able to register on May 23rd, it is highly recommended that you wait until advisement so you are more familiar and aware of what courses are necessary for your degree and to graduate ontime!

I'm not sure of your Financial Aid question, but you can call them at 716-878-4902 or email them at finaid@buffalostate.edu to help you.

The tuition deposit comes out of your pocket and confirms you spot in the incoming class. Remember it does go towards your tuition.
