Hi! It's great that you are interested in this... here is a link to check out the different sororities and fraternities we have at Buff State: http://www.buffalostate.edu/studentlife/x589.xml.

Although that gives you a great overview, I definitely agree that some advice from an actual sorority girl would be helpful! There are a lot of other girls out there like you wondering the same thing... so if there are any sorority girls out there reading this, please share your stories! Or if anyone knows someone who is in a sorority, please tell them about the ASK board and get them involved in these conversations. I think this board is a great place to network!

I don't really know much about the process... I know that sororities often sit at tables in the Student Union in the beginning of the semester to recruit people. This would usually be during Bengal Pause, which is every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:15-1:30pm... it is a time when there are not a lot of classes held and lots of events are going on around campus!

Hope this helps!

Freshmen are not technically allowed to pledge to frats or sororities and if the RD of your building finds out they will write you up.

When you get to campus in the fall you'll see different sororities putting up flyers for getting to know them. I'm a member of a sorority on campus so if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

I am possibly interested in joing a sorority but I am worried that joining may be too expensive for me. So I am wondering what is the typical/average cost for joining a sorority...
