What are parents doing for their accepted students banking needs while at Buffalo State?

I know there are a few on-site ATMs (M&T, HSBC, etc). I'm looking for something with free [student] checking, free ATM usage and a means to xfer money into the account from my home bank when needed.

Hi

I know that Im not a Parent but I am a student. And the best banking that I know of is Bank of America.
They have free student banking (I have it)
You can choose to have a debit card and or checks I chose to just have a debit card Its more convient for me.
Your children can use their debit card anywhere and also down the street there is a Bank of America where they can Deposit money and checks right into the ATM if they wanted or the can do the standered way of banking by going inside.
Also if they have Student banking through bank of america then they will also be set up with a Keep the Change program its like a savings account except everytime that they use there debit card the bank rounds the amount up the the next dollar and puts the change into a savings account. and for the first 3 months the bank matches the amount that they put in 100%. So to me bank of america is a good choice. Also they have good credit programs

I personaly have 2 credit cards
2 checking accounts
1 savings account
and I set up my refund account for Buff State for the financial aid.

Hope that helps.

If you have a question Im up to answer.

I am also a student and I myself use HSBC and am very happy with it so far, especially because the ATM is in the Student Union, and in the rare occasion that I do need to go to the actual bank, it is just down the road on Elmwood. Usually, I do not need to go to the bank though, because they have an online banking option that is very useful. For more information, try their customer service number: 1.800.975.4722. Their representatives have always been more than helpful! Good luck!

My daughter using Bank of New York and correct me if I'm wrong but when you use the ATM machine in the Student Union you get charged a fee. They don't have a BNY ATM machine there but they have other banks I'm not sure which ones they are.
