Girls, how do you manage your upkeep in Buffalo? I'm from Brooklyn so there's basically a hair and nail salon in every neighborhood, and I'm sure there are other females in Buffalo who like to stay fly (lol).
Does anyone know of any places? Prices? How far is it away from campus?
Thank you in advance!

You can just take the 20 bus and go downtown and get off at allen street. I cant remember the name of the place, but its dominicans that do hair and if you dont want that, there is a black salon on main street.
As for nails, you can also take the 20 bus towards tops and target and in the tops plaza theres a place to do nails there.
Feel free to ask any questions

Because I play driver to my friend without the license she and I end up at this nail salon on Grant Street. It's right across from family dollar. For hair, you go to....I don't know because I won't go. There's a tanning shop by marshalls...it's on the Denny's block. When you are on Elmwood, keep going straight until you pass Amherst and that next light you make that right turn and go straight to the end of the road

A lot of the places to go around Buffalo State are usually a 10-15 minute drive. Target is less than 10 minutes on the bus. Allen is probably around 15-20 minutes on the bus. It's typically a straight route to these places. Basically the same as if you were driving in the car. Just makes more stops of course. The longest trip is to the mall on the bus which is about an hour, which honestly my first few years when I didn't have a car, I took the bus to the mall and all I needed was my ipod and it wasn't a bad trip at all. Nothing is too far away, which is good. Just a bus ride away.

The road with Denny's and a tanning place is Delaware Ave.
