Buffalo Police reported two incidents involving handguns earlier this week in the neighborhood south of campus.

On Wednesday, June 20, at around 3:00 a.m., an unknown Hispanic male (described as approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, and wearing a light-colored t-shirt) robbed a man of his wallet at gunpoint near the intersection of Forest and Ashland avenues. The suspect fled the scene as a passenger in a white, four-door sedan.

Later that day, at approximately 10:45 p.m., a man and his son were threatened near the intersection of Forest Avenue and Rees Street by an unknown male with a small handgun. The man and his son escaped to their vehicle. As they were leaving, the unknown male threw a bicycle at their car, breaking its front windshield. No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call the Buffalo Police confidential TIPCALL Line at (716) 847-2255 or Text a Tip to (716) 847-2255.
