In your attempts to register for a course, you may get the following registration error message "Prerequisite Error. You do not have a course in your academic history required to register for this course or it is reserved for a specific group that you are not a member of."
Definition of Prerequisite: requirement(s) you must fulfill before registering for a course. Why did I get this error? The Banner system has looked at your academic history and courses in progress and has determined that you did not meet the prerequisites required to allow you to register for this course. The prerequisites assigned to this class are courses that the department has deemed very necessary to prepare you to be successful in completing this particular course. The prerequisite for each course (if applicable) can be viewed on the online master schedule which can be found on the Registrar's home page at http://www.buffalostate.edu/registrar, click on "Course Offerings," then select the term. If you believe this is an error or you have transcripts from other colleges still in process that will allow you to register for the course, you will need to speak with or send an email to the instructor of the course.
