room mates? Options

i was wondering if anyone knows how room mates are matched. I applied for the apartment style housing and moore complex so i wont be in the same room as someone but i'll be living with other people. are they done by ages or majors, school year (ie jr or senior)?

also how soon after we send in our application for housing do we get our room mates names?

On the housing paper it asked little questions as: Would you mind if your room mate smoked? (etc.)
But other than the little details like that from the housing paper room mates are chosen randomly I believe.

This website will show you your room mates once they've been selected but I don't believe they update it until the beginning of August.

I hope this has helped and hopefully we'll see each other on campus.
