Hi, would the college be able to help get my son/daughter a summer job when they come home for the summer. The major is early childhood education. If so, who would it be thru? counselor? The college does offer a summer job fair through the Career Development office to assist students in locating summer jobs. Their website is: www.buffalostate.edu/offices/cdc. The summer job fair is Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Their phone number is (716) 878-5811. Financial Aid |

is the job fair for like rochester, syracuse, etc? They solicit employers from all over NYS to participate in the fair so hopefully some will come from these areas. The Career Development Office will post a listing of the various employers as we get closer to the event day. Financial Aid |

I would also check out the Career Development Center's online job listings site, ORCA (Online Resource for Career Advancement): http://136.183.4.135/cdc/orca/mainstudentlogin.php. Many local employers post job listings through the college there and it is a good way to search for jobs, especially if you have a field in mind because you can specifically search for that. |
