When does the new 2010-2011 fafsa have to be done for Fall semester?

Also does pell and tap need to be redone for the fall semester as well?

yes. Every spring semester, after you file your taxes, you must complete the fafsa and tap application for the upcoming fall and spring semesters. You want to get your fafsa done as soon as possible, so you wont have any trouble with billing after you register for classes. I believe the dead line is like july 2011, but if your planning on taking classes in the fall get it done as soon as you can.

To be considered on-time for the upcoming award year, the deadline for filing is March 1st each year. You can still file the form and you must file the form each year to receive your Pell and TAP grants.

The March 1st deadline date is to be considered for the campus based programs since we have limited funding. Pell and TAP grants are given to all eligible students as long as their information is received before they cease attendance at their college for the term that they are requesting aid. Your eligibility for a Pell grant is determined by the information that you submit on your financial aid application each year. If you need further clarification, please stop by the office and speak to an advisor.

The college is sending out the bills next week for the fall semster with a due date 8/19/10. Hopefully, the state will have a budget before this date. If not, continue to monitor the Student Account website for future news regarding the TAP grant and billing process for the fall. Thank you.
