I am coming from SUNY Cobleskill.
I am Not living on campus... My boyfriend is a pharm. major at UB, so I will be living with him... quite convenient lol.

You guys won't be disappointed. I transferred from UB into the Communication program and I am very happy with that decision! Most of the Communication professors here are extremely knowledgeable about the stuff they teach.

Kristin Paige - in case you were wondering, most of the core Public Communications classes are about Public Relations and Advertising. There is also a class focused on graphic design and two classes focused on public speaking. The major also requires you to take 3 electives (which may or may not include an internship) and they range from Media Productions to Television Film/Arts to Communication Law.

It's a really great program. It's accredited too!

Hey!! Im going to be transferring in the fall too. Im majoring in geography and I want to minor in planning. For some reason everyone from my high school says bad things about buff state. I dont know where it all comes from because I've seen the campus and I love the location. I like that its not as big as UB and its cheap if your a NY resident. If you guys have anything good to say about the school let me know... Im getting kind of worried.

I know what you mean about people saying bad things about Buff State... it seems like half the time when I tell people I go here they just have negative things to say about it or they think it is the same school as UB haha. The things people complain about are parking, construction, and sometimes the dorm rooms, but I think these problems are everywhere, not just Buff State. But I love this school, so don't worry... like you said Elmwood is awesome, there is always something going on... it is pretty much what you make of it! Also I think since it is smaller than UB it is easy to get to know people and professors biggrin.gif

Hello, I'm meg and I'll be transferring here in the fall to the Fashion Merchandising program. I'm from Long Island too(represent)! But my sister lives near Buffalo so I'll be commuting to school. I will have an associates degree in Business Administration by Fall from Suffolk County Community College. I'm excited to start classes! Not looking forward to the snow so much though..I guess I will get used it.

Kyra- If your coming from high school and its your first time attending college then I believe you register for your classes at Orientation with an adviser. You can log into your banner and see what it tells you, mine said I can start registering May 7th.
