Do the students need to file the Tap application separate from the Fafsa? Upon completion of the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov, the student will be prompted to continue to the TAP application online. Conveniently, most of the information is automatically carried over to the TAP application. |

We didn't get the prompt to continue with the TAP application when we did the fafsa on line?? Then you may wish to double check that you have correctly listed NY as the state of residence for the student and parent. You can go to the TAP application by following the link below. Please keep in mind that the info from the FAFSA may take a little time to get to the TAP system. If you just filed the FAFSA, please give it a day or so. Link to TAP on the web |

The Fafsa was done on 1/15 and processed 1/19 on line, so now a TAP application can be done on line now?

Supposedly, you have to wait ten days but you can try going to www.tapweb.org to see if it will allow you to complete the TAP application.
