To receive the ACG grant as a freshman you had to graduate from high school after January 1, 2006 in a rigorous secondary school program of study, be eligible for a Pell grant, enrolled at least half-time in a matriculated program of study. The grant is $750 for the first year and $1300 in the second year and you must also have achieved a 3.0 gpa at the end of your first year of study to receive the second award. You can obtain additional information at http://studentaid.ed.gov.
