Hi,
I'm starting at Buffalo State this fall, hopefully. I just got done at ECC with my associates in liberal arts, general studies. I haven't been accepted yet but I really want to change my major before the semester begins. I would like to change to Art Education but I see that a portfolio is necessary. How does that work?

Thank You!

Hi There,
You can write a written request to change your major before you have been accepted, all you need is a simple note either via email to admissions@buffalostate.edu or mail to our office at: Admissions, Moot Hall 110, 1300 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14222.

If you choose to change your major to Art Education, once you have been accepted to the school by admissions standards, your portfolio is reviewed by the Art Dept. If your portfolio is accepted, you will be accepted into the Art Ed. program. you will be notified by mail. If your portfolio is not accepted, but you are acceptable to the school by your cumulative average, you will be contacted by Admissions to discuss alternative program options.

Sincerely your Buffalo State Admissions Counselor
