hi
im a student at ub (university at buffalo). im a junior majoring in chemistry. i would like to take some courses at buffalo state that have equivalents at ub, namely in spanish, history, and mathematics. i really would like to take the courses in say spanish, and then transfer them to ub. so i guess i would apply as a first time student, not as a transfer right? also, ub has a course equivalent program that one can use to see what courses offered at other schools can be transfered to ub for credit. i look using this wizard and see that spa 101 at buffalo state is equivalent to ub's spa 101. is this course offered over any summer sessions buff state might have (ub has summer sessions, but i don't know if buff state does?) sorry about so many ?s, but im a noob at buffalo state! thanks in advance. |

Hi, if you are just looking to take a few classes at BSC and transfer them back you would apply as a non degree student. You can find the application here: http://www.buffalostate.edu/admissions/nondegree.xml. The summer session schedule will be posted probably mid Feb. Check the BSC Registrar's office website for new information: http://www.buffalostate.edu/registrar/. Sincerely your Buffalo State Admissions Counselor

We do offer language courses in the summer. I believe the course listings will be published online around Feb. As a non degree student you are just entered into our system. There is no accept or deny. But as a non degree student, you can not register until the day before summer classes begin. Sincerely your Buffalo State Admissions Counselor

I am just wondering, I'm looking into enrolling as a non-degree student. Can you still get the same financial aid as a regular student?
