I am being recruited from Binghamton, New York. I would like to know how busy your life as an athlete and a student is at Buffalo.

My name is Jeff Ventura and I am the Sports Information Director at Buffalo State. Our student-athlete's schedules vary from sport to sport. A typical athlete in season will practice from 3-6 Monday through Thursday and compete on Friday and Saturdays. Out of season, most teams have "optional" work-out and conditioning programs. Our student-athletes definitely lead busy schedules, but most still find time to work part-time jobs and they do better academically on average than the general student body. Hope this helps. Good luck with your decision.

I am wanting to tryout for volleybal and I know volleyball is a warm season sport and they start as soon as September. Are tryouts for sports (all sports) once school starts? Or are they slitghtly before? Thanks

All of our athletic teams do offer open try-outs. For volleyball, the first day is August 22. If you are interested in trying out, you should contact Coach Adrienne Turley at turleyaa@buffalostate.edu.

Thanks, I already have last week or so. That is the same day as my orientation. Is there any chance I can attend both?
