The Educational Opportunity Program at Buffalo State College will hold its 5th Bi-Annual one day professional development conference for students to address issues and resources that will better prepare them beyond the bachelors’ degree. Research has shown that 17% of students graduating with their bachelor’s degrees will be unemployed because they are ill-prepared for the job market; and only 7% of undergraduates attend graduate schools because the process is foreign and frightening. The purpose of this program is to educate students about the various resources available to them to better prepare themselves for Graduate School, Medical School, Law School, Paid Internship Opportunities, Study Abroad & Exchange Programs, and job opportunities. Students can benefit from the workshops and interact with peers and professionals to obtain information that will give them breadth and depth. The Conference will be held on Friday, April 19th 2013 from 2:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. in Bulger Communication Center. The conference is free for Buffalo State College students and $35 for all students from other institutions.
