Where are some good places to work and places that might be hiring in the upcoming fall? I would recommend that you take a look at the Career Development Center Web site. They have lots of information about jobs on campus, links to other employment sites, and career counseling information. Hope that helps! |

I heard that are many places to work and that it is fairly easy to find a job. |

I heard that are many places to work and that it is fairly easy to find a job. when you apply for financial aid you can apply for work study which basically means you get a job doing work on campus. Pays 7.15/hour which sucks, but its available. If you dont want to go that route, there are a few super markets and such nearby. Delis are almost always hiring especially if you are willing to do nights and weekends. Not sure about the delis up there but down here in long island starting at 8.00$/hour is standard. There is also the standard array of retail outlets if you arnt into supermarket stuff, target, office max ect. It's a sweater!

They basically paid me to check ID's and sign in guests while I did my hw or chilled with my friends. |

You got paid to do something like that?!?! I can't wait until Spring when I get my work study! Do they let you pick your work study or is it automatically assigned to you? |

The funny thing is, I got paid more sitting at the desk doing hw than I did when I was working at the child care center on campus. I haven't done workstudy at Buff State but I'm pretty sure you apply for the position you want, just like you would any other job. |

What about jobs on campus for people who aren't eligible for work study?

What about jobs on campus for people who aren't eligible for work study? It was mentioned earlier in this thread, but you should check the Career Development Center at: http://www.buffalostate.edu/offices/cdc/ or visit their office in Cleveland Hall. They can provide information about jobs on campus, and in the area. |
