I'm an incoming freshy this fall, and I have private health insurance. I know there's a waiver that you're supposed to fill out, but I can't find it! Anyone know where it is? Lol

As noted, go the the link for the insurance company. Under "Your Links" click on "On line waiver". You will need to have your insurance card with you to complete the waiver. Once you fill in the information, you will see a summary of your information. At the bottom of that page, be sure to click on "confirm". If you "X" out, the waiver will not be processed. You will receive an email almost immediately. If you don't, please complete the form again as it may not have gone through.
I'm sorry that you have not been able to reach anyone at the health center. If you have any other questions, please try calling us again at 716-878-6711. If you do get voice mail, please leave a message, someone will get back to you. https://www.consolidatedhealthplan.com/stud...te_college.html if you need help furthur id be gladly willing to help i know how hard it is cause noone in the offices answer the phone because they are probably so busy with incoming students. where are you from and how exicted are you for freshman year? im an incoming transfer from long island! |

I dont know if its a law thing, but all college students are suppose to have a health insurence plan. If you dont have private insurence, then you have to pay for the schools and keep paying for it until u either graduate, or get a private one.

Completing the health insurance waiver will take you less than 5 minutes - maybe even 3. If you have any problems, come in to the health center & we'll help you on one of our computers.
The reason that the health insurance is mandatory is that students without health insurance avoid going to the doctor when they're sick and don't fill prescriptions to get better. Without care, they will get sicker and miss classes. When students have an illness that requires hospitalization, for example, Appendicitis with the cost close to $15,000, the financial burden may get in the way of students completeing their education. These were actual situations that affected students that prompted making health insurance mandatory. As far as calling the health center and not receiving an answer - please call us again. We are very interested in providing help to all students to need assistance. I dont know if its a law thing, but all college students are suppose to have a health insurence plan. I do not know if this is something that is expected to the law, but all students have medical insurence plan. If you do not have private insurence, then you have to pay for schools and keep paying until you either graduate or get a private.
