To all who decide to drop by and read this, I appreciate it. =) My name is Tashawn Francis (Please feel free to call me Tash or Tk.) the reason i decided to write this is because I am very interested in kendo, but haven't actually gotten in any real practice. Of coarse I'd appreciate getting to know anyone, but I'd also love to know if there is an active kendo club, and if not I believe I read that in order for one to be created I'd need 10 student's and an advisor. If anyone can answer my question or is interested, then by all means please let me know. =) Thanks in advance! tongue.gif

To make a student organization you'll need the ten students and an advisor which can be any faculty member. The advisor doesn't have to go to any meetings, and your group of students will have to elect a leadership board with at least two permament positions. You will have to vote every year for these positions and you must create and follow a set of rules that you then submit to USG (United Student Government). Then you can request funding for specific events or ask for a budget plan for the entire year. The more money you spend, the mre they will consider giving to you next year, but you have to show that you are using it properly for your student group and that it is gaining students interest.
