im going to be a freshman next year and the reason im asking this is because
i live in buffalo, about 20 minutes from buff state so i could commute pretty
easily. ive been thinking though and it might be easier to dorm and it would
deffinitly be a good experience. so my question is, based on your experiences,
would it be better for me to dorm? and is it worth the money when i live
so close by?
thankx for your help =)

The parking situation on campus is pretty frustrating so I would definitely dorm to experience the campus life and get to know some new people for your first year!

I am pretty sure you can do both. It is definitely harder to find non-work study jobs. Some offices offer them and so does the Barnes and Noble bookstore, so I would start with applying there. I know a lot of people who work at the library or copy center in Cleveland Hall. I'm not sure how you find these jobs, maybe just stop by as soon as you can and ask for an application. Also, many departments pay tutors so that is something to look into for your major.
