Students are reminded to be cautious and alert as the weather improves and semester draws to a close, whether on campus, attending parties, or at home. Common-sense safety practices, such as those described on the University Police website, can help you avoid becoming the victim of a robbery, assault, or other crime.
Buffalo Police informed UPD earlier today that two Buffalo State students were victims of an armed robbery Saturday night off campus near the intersection of Bird and Richmond avenues. The victims, who were not hurt, described the two suspects as black males, approximately 18-22 years old, both wearing black hoodies, and between 5’8” and 5’10” in height. The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot west on Bird Avenue. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Buffalo Police confidential TIPCALL Line at (716) 847-2255 or Text a Tip at (716) 847-2255. If you observe unusual or suspicious activity on campus, you are urged to call University Police immediately at ext. 6333 or (716) 878-6333. |
