Spring aid begins to disburse the week after schedule adjustment. Refunds will depend on what aid you have been awarded as not all pays at the same time.

Please, please take my advice on this. Do not count on getting your financial aid until the middle of February at the earliest. Something happens every semester to delay disbursement and you will save yourself a lot of heartache (not to mention bounced checks and late bill payments) if you take every precaution possible towards not having to rely on a timely payment. This is my eighth (and final rolleyes.gif ) semester at Buff State and I have never gotten financial aid when I was supposed to. If you are renting a place in Buffalo most landlords are actually very sympathetic and understanding if you go to Buff State and can't make your rent at the beginning of the semester just because late disbursement is such a common occurrence. I made the mistake of relying on the disbursement timeline my first two years at Buff State and it ended up causing me a lot of trouble. Also, stop in at the financial aid office to make sure all of your necessary paper work has been filed and processed. One semester I got my aid a month after everyone else because they did not record in the computer system that I signed the e-MPN. Please just be really, really cautious and meticulous (keep records of correspondence, be aware of deadlines, etc) when dealing with financial aid and the disbursement dates.

the post above is not correct. I'm into my 4th/5th semester (summer too) and the Fin Aid dept have always been right on target with dates except for 1 semester that had a 1 week delay due to some computer issue. Of course everyone's situatiuon is different but I even had a paperwork snag one time and my deposit still came on time. Make sure your stuff is all in order! I have to say that Buff State has always been very helpful and will take the time to communicate with you on a one-on-one personal basis. I've been at both UB and ECC where that just doesn't happen.
