mailing address? Options

ok, so i know the mailing address is supposed to be like

student's name
hall and room number
buffalo state college
p.o. box ----
buffalo, new york 14213-....

i was wondering, because i live in moore complex, do you put your specific room number or your apartment number? And do you need to put the letter of the section you're in? for example, if i lived in section C would it be the room number and the C after or before it?

When I lived in Moore Complex I would put down my specific room and apartment number. I don't know if it is absolutely necessary but I always wanted to make sure it was as specific as possible so they couldn't make any mistake about it.

I live in Moore this year too. I Put:

My name
1300 Elmwood Avenue
Moore P509 (<-- obvi i made that up)
Buffalo NY 14222

and I get mail fine. Since our mailboxes are all shared, I just put the apartment number. The AA's are really nice in making sure mail gets to where it's supposed to be.
