Our foodservice providers are very good about providing nutrition information and vegan/vegetarian options for students. They will also make special arrangements for students with special dietary needs. If you require this, contact Dining Services.

That's how it is at (edit: ALMOST) every college, unfortunately.

The first-year and other areas all have roughly the same size rooms.

Too many to list here! Some may be on the Buffalo State calendar, but if you want to learn about this in detail, you should make an appointment to speak with a Complex Director or with the Associate Director for Staff Development. You could even apply to be an RA! Call the Residence Life Office to make these arrangements.

Transfer students get assigned at random into spaces in our upper division areas.

Just to be clear, this points business is for housing sign-up, which happens during the semester. Transfer students won't have Buffalo State GPAs yet, so their points values are determined by their transferring GPAs.

We have a lot of international students and the College is proud of its international student programs. If you are looking for a school that's not too large, has small class sizes, and is in an urban environment, this is an ideal place.

The beds are the long size, so you do need special sheets. They may be bunked in most cases.

It's easy to switch. There's a period 2-4 weeks into the semester during which you can change rooms just by filling out a form (provided there is another student in your building that wants to switch).

In extreme cases - like threats, etc. - you can be switched just by asking at the Residence Life Office and explaining the situation. We won't let any students live in unsafe conditions.

If everything is run the same way that it was last year, you will receive a card with your points value on it shortly before housing sign-up. Because of the way this works, you can pretty much count on getting a room in the Towers.

Yes - transfer students get points based on how many credits they have completed and their transferring GPA.

The impression I'm getting is that it's technically OK but we'd much rather you not use cinder blocks - they make special things for raising the beds. You can get them at a housewares store.

I haven't heard of anything like this, and used to ride my bike to work every day. It may be useful to call University Police (x 6333) and see if they have any statistics on bicycle theft and vandalism.

During August. You will receive information on this in the mail during the summer. I'm not sure that the date has been determined yet.

I'm not sure what RSN alternate means, but they told me some of the games would be on CBC (9).

There are bike racks all over campus. It shouldn't be a problem. I don't believe there is indoor storage for bicycles in the halls.

Don't think there's anywhere that cashes checks on campus but you could go down to the Holley Farms on Allen Street, I think they do.

Thanks swatsnip3r, that's the right answer. Unfortunately I don't think we grant that sort of request usually, but it can't hurt to ask.

Every cable company has a website for service requests, surely. It's simply good customer service.

Please contact them directly - I'm sure they'll be able to explain why the games have been blacked out.

Also, I believe MLB offers streaming video of the games on the Internet - you could try that next time.
