Hi, I'm a fall 2011 transfer student, junior, Fashion Major. I come from a city where there is a couple colleges that all have a BIG greek life-so naturally, thats where I like to party and hang (also LOVE dressing up for theme parties!). I've had a good experience with the fraternies and sororities around my city.

Does anyone know if Buffalo State has a greek life? or if there are fraternies and sororities around, but not associated with Buffalo state? Like UBuff? I'm possibly looking at joining a sorority if I find one that fits me, if there are chapters at Buff State. Any info wil help! smile.gif
Thanks!

There are many sororities and fraternities here at Buffalo State! Oftentimes you will find them in the student union in the beginning of the semester at tables looking to recruit people. You can find them all on the Greek Life web page:

Here are some other topics with discussions about Greek Life in case you didn't see these yet:

I was just reading the summer issue of The Record today and they are recruiting (that is our school newspaper). It says there are paid positions available and to contact Julia Merulla at merulla.record@live.com. Their website is: http://www.bengalconnect.com/organization/bscrecord

Bengal Connect is a great way to learn about any club... it is very new but it is going to be the go-to place to see how you can get involved and have fun on campus, so everyone should definitely check it out!

You could also visit them once you get on campus. Their office is 414 Campbell Student Union so just take the stairs or the elevator up to the 4th floor and you will find them!

Hey! smile.gif I transferred to Buff State fall 2010 and didn't notice greek life at all until I joined my sorority. Since joining, however, I've noticed a huge transformation in greek life on campus and how prevalent it's becoming.

A few of my sisters and I will be walking around campus during transfer student orientation and would love to meet you either then or once classes start! We have a Facebook group set up that has more information on our organization and events we'll be doing. We'd love it if you joined our group! Just search 'Rush Zeta Chi Omega Fall 2011' in Facebook. smile.gif
