Anyone know if the hotel blocks websites, IP address and such? I wouldnt be to happy about that.

I wouldn't think so...if they give people the option to order porn on the tv's, I don't see why they would block websites lol tongue.gif

Normally when parents are like that when their kids leave for college they go insane with doing everything their parents told them not to do. Not usually a good thing, but its what seems to happen with parents like that.

Yea, exactly...I have friends that have went insane when going away. I went kinda insane....but did good in school still lol

Just wondering if there is any way that the Sabres games that will again be on MSG Network actually play every night on our cable network without missing games? Also MSG is also playing some classic games from last season on Tuesday nights and it would be pretty sweet if we could get those games in too.

Thanks!

Yea, I was wondering the exact same thing. I sure hope so. I wouldn't want to miss those classic games either....especially the Pomminville OT tongue.gif

I don't know who else is going to be living in the Hyatt this semester but I'm pretty excited for it. I mean, you get all these extra accomodations and the subway is right outside the door! It's in such a convenient part of town. Parking is taken care of for you, they give you air conditioning- I'm PUMPED, I might not be able to get to sleep tonight now. Just want to see what everyone else thinks and who else is going to be there. :-D

Dude, you're right by Chippewa street (the club district).....thats awesome lol

I'm in Porter. I'm pretty sure it'll be good...i'm not even worried at all. About the whole partying thing? I've heard about it...but you'd expect it in college at least in one dormatory. I know how to balance, so i'm not even worried. I live in Buffalo and one of the main reasons I chose to dorm is because I wanted to get the social aspect from college as well. Just going to classes and then going home felt too much like high school....

Well, i'm one of those people that WANT housing and don't NEED housing, so ha tongue.gif. And I live in the area. Then again, I also NEED housing...depends how you look at life I suppose. Maybe I want to be on my own and this is the perfect opportunity. I'm sorry for wanting the full college experience, rather than commute every single day. I do drive....but I'd rather feel like i'm going to college and not high school by commuting back home after class.

I'm sorry that thinks aren't working out for you as of now. Maybe they should base it on geography, but not to the point that locals are being shutout.

I'm also sick of hearing this madness about residence life messing up. I mean, they're not doing this intentionally, they're doing the best as they can to resolve the problems that are going on...cut them some slack. Well, cut the nice people some slack....because there are some douchebags in res life. Lucy is the nicest lady lol

more importantly, local students, regardless of whether or not they are returning students, should not get housing until out of town students have it.

I don't really agree with that. Basically if they're applying early and on time, also are paying money...then why should they get assigned any later? geography shouldn't play a role in being assigned, because that would be deemed unfair.

Yea...I agree with you about Nextel. I got verizon, and it annoys the living bleep outta me. I'd terminate the contract, but i'm not trying to get charged an excessive amount of money. But, I like verizon ringtone selection and ringbacks, so I'll stick with it lol tongue.gif

Yup, in the main part of the student union...but downstairs. Like...instead of going those stairs to the dining hall, go down the stairs and there the game room will be. That probably wasn't the best explaination...sorry lol
