any preference for dorming? perry, porter, nuemann? You are not the only one wondering about this... check out this post to see what has been said so far on this topic: http://ask.buffalostate.edu/index.php?showtopic=6883 Here is a quote from that post that might help you: "Porter: The rooms are slightly bigger then neuman and perry but the dorm itself is the largest dorm on campus, which means there are a lot of students sharing the bathrooms. I have heard that Neumann is the quietest and good if you plan on getting work done, and Porter is the rowdiest... so I guess it depends what you are looking to get out of your college experience! |

any preference for dorming? perry, porter, nuemann? You're main preference should be a double, do your best to find a roomate and avoid being paired up by Buff State or theres a good chance you'll have three people living in a room built for two. Perry has the best staff but the worst equipment, the kitchen/laundry room/fire alarms will make you think college life is terrible as a freshman. Porter is the largest dorm and has the largets student base, think of it as a regular apartment building only with public bathrooms and college students doing college things. Neumann is perry minus the staff and problems ... if you get a double here you'd have the best possible time at buffalo state. Don't forget if you take too long to find a place they may not even put you in a triple and instead they'll make you stay at the Adams Mark hotel, a three star hotel with a twenty minute comute to campus. |
