I was wondering if Trailways/Greyhound goes from Buffalo to Binghamton, NY, where a student would get the bus and is there college transportation to and from bus terminals?

According to Greyhound.com, they do have a bus that goes to Binghamton. The bus station in Buffalo is downtown, around 3 miles from campus. It's located at 181 Ellicott St. You'd be able to take the city bus to the station fairly easily from campus, and it's free with your BSC bus pass.
