You must be enrolled full time (at least 12 new credit hours) to receive a New York State TAP grant. If you are repeating a course for which you previously received a passing grade (D, D+, C-), it will not count toward full-time status for TAP eligibility purposes.

Further information regarding Course Repeats is available at
http://www.buffalostate.edu/financialaid/x992.xml

If you are not sure if you will be considered full time for TAP purposes, please check with the Student Accounts Office at stuaccts@buffalostate.edu. Do not delay. Sunday, February 2, is the deadline to complete spring 2014 registration.

I just recieved my package for the fall semester but sadly I see nothing on the work study program. Was it suppose to come with the package? How do I still apply for an on campus job for the fall, if I still can? Thank you

Please contact our office using your Buffalo State email address to finaid@buffalostate.edu. Include your name and Banner ID and request that your 13-14 package be reviewed for work study eligibility. Also, you may wish to contact the Career Development Center for other on-campus work opportunities.

On the schedule on the Registrar, it says Freshmen register the 12th & 15th. What determines which date out of the two you get? My date is the 15th and I wanna know why it's not the 12th.

You should contact the Registrar's office to discuss the assigned registration times in Banner.

RKI Eagle There must be the process to pay bills for meals and housing cost two times during starting of the new semester and after that you have to pay middle times of semester in December.

The College offers a automatic time payment plan that can be setup with the billing (Student Account) office in Moot Hall or online at: www.buffalostate.edu/studentaccounts/x7.xml.

Typically it does but you didn't provide your name so we could look it up. This is not a secure forum. You're better off contacting the Financial Aid Office or the Admissions Office directly.

Some of us still have not recieved thier fed financial aid refund. Any hopes that i'll be posted by April? (i'm a grad student, don't know if that matters.) Under my fin aid in Banner it shows I have a student loan. But it still hasn't been distributed to my account for this term.

Thanks!

It is unusual that your loan has not disbursed yet. Please contact us at finaid@buffalostate.edu from your Buffalo State account so we may look up your account details. Be sure to include your Banner ID in your email to us.

Thank you,
Christine

Does anyone know when we will be receiving federal refunds for spring 2013? I missed the deadline for the book deferment. Any info would be appreciated

The federal direct loans have already started to be disbursed and refunds issued. The remaining federal programs should be disbursed by the end of February and TAP around the beginning of March.

Book deferment processing begins approximately two weeks prior to the start of each semester and continues through the first week of classes.

The Office of Financial Aid would like to remind students to complete the 2013-14 FAFSA online at www.fafsa.gov. You may file the FAFSA any time after January 1, 2013 however we recommend that you file it by March 1, 2013 in order to meet our priority filing deadline. Applying early means timely notification of awards, deferments for your bill and your books, and a chance to complete additional processes or determine additional need and options. All because of early FAFSA filing!

You would have to loan or grant eligibility remaining from the 2012-2013 year to receive in the summer. Stop by our office in February or March to review your eligibility.

I am interested in taking 2 classes over the summer(Session A), and I was wondering how to apply for Financial Aid for that time period. I already submitted my FAFSA for 2013/2014 and didn't include anything about it on there.

Summer financial aid is included with the 2012-2013 financial aid application. In April when registering for the summer term, please stop by our office to complete a summer aid application. To receive aid, you must have eligibility remaining in the 12-13 award year.
